Job Description:
As a Junior Event Coordinator, you will support the Events Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing high-end events and hospitality experiences. This role involves both creative and administrative responsibilities and requires strong organizational skills, a passion for the events industry, and a hands-on attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including corporate functions, hospitality suites, and VIP experiences
Liaise with suppliers, venues, decorators, and service providers to coordinate logistics
• Support with guest list management, RSVP tracking, and hospitality arrangements
• Conduct site visits, prepare event checklists, and ensure all event elements are aligned with the Sinayo brand
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events as required
• Coordinate travel, accommodation, and ticketing for clients or VIP guests
• Maintain accurate records, budgets, and timelines for assigned projects
• Provide on-the-day event support and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Assist with post-event evaluations and reporting
Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or related industry (internship experience also considered)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Canva or event planning tools is a plus
• Willingness to work after hours and on weekends as required by event schedules
• A team player with a proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail
• Valid driver’s license and own transport is a must
